Your first consultation will take about an hour. During this time the practitioner will ask a series of questions required to form a complete picture of your state of health, including your past and current medical and personal histories. You will be asked about many aspects of your life, such as your sleep patterns, your eating habits, digestion and your emotions (for example, how you cope with stress). It is important that you inform your homeopath about any medicine or supplement that has been prescribed for you by your doctor or that you take regularly.

The homeopath will choose homeopathic medicine for you that most closely matches your unique and individual symptoms. This prescription is then dispensed in Nelsons Homeopathic Pharmacy following your appointment. Homeopathic medicines are usually supplied in tablet, powder or liquid form. As with all medicines, they need to be stored safely and appropriately.

You will arrange a follow up consultation with your homeopath or clinic receptionist, which is generally 4-5 weeks later. Follow-up consultations last approximately 30 minutes.

The speed at which you come to feel relief will depend on the ailment being treated. In acute cases, this can be very fast indeed. In more chronic conditions, your recovery rate will depend on the nature and duration of the illness and on your individual response.
